In February 2011 I announced to my students that I was pregnant. I was a computer teacher for grades K-8 at a charter school. A friend suggested I either write a book or start a blog about the reactions and comments of my students in relation to my pregnancy. I thought it was a good idea. Now I am a kindergarten teacher at a school in a school district. In January 2014 I announced that I was pregnant. I will post something once a week.

Share your stories
I would really appreciate teachers sharing their stories about children and the comments they have made about pregnancies. Parents could also share stories abut their children and the comments they have made about their teacher's pregnancy.

More student quotes
When the blessed day comes when our family will have the opportunity of adding another member of our family, I will be sure to add more quotes from comments children make to me in regards to my pregnancy. In the meantime, I will scope the internet for more information to share.

It's a sad world we live in
As I searched the internet for more student quotes about pregnant teachers, I realized what a sad world we live in. Do a google search for teacher pregnancy stories and you find links to stories of teachers becoming pregnant due to an improper relationship with a student. There aren't many stories about young students saying things about their pregnant teachers (who were in an appropriate relationship with a spouse).

A good time to get pregnant
As I searched the internet for more quotes about teachers being pregnant I found a thread, "When should a teacher get pregnant?"
Really? Like they can plan that. Who can plan that? For most people, pregnancy is not something you can just say, "Oh, I'm going to get pregnant in September." For most people it is not that easy, so to expect a teacher to be able to do that is totally unreasonable.
